Department Store Setup

Our customer wanted a flexible freight forwarders support to set-up their new store in a shopping mall in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. The customer preferred a forwarding partner who would not only do the shipping, but also place furniture at the store according to the layout – maintaining a high level of safety standards.

Our Solution

We partnered with a reputed furniture installer in Riyadh and offered the customer a proposal for the full work scope f- collection from various origins, shipping, temporary storage and installation at the store. We also identified potential extra costs and agreed with the customer to discount the price if extra costs were not incurred.

The Challenges

Mitigating damage risk due to fragile nature of goods. Project was during Ramadan and had to be completed within a time frame given before the EID holidays and the opening of the store. We had to ensure the shipments were cleared on time and delivered to site during the shortened working hours.

The Result

Furniture and fittings were flawlessly arranged on the shop floor on-time, well below logistics and installation budget.

Shipping goods from various Countries into Riyadh KSA by AIR / SEA and ROAD, customs clearance, temporary storage in Riyadh, unpacking – quality checks and delivery to the store, assembly and placement at the department store as per layout plan, removal of waste material for recycling.
